It’s easy to work up a big appetite on the trails and lakes of northern Wisconsin. Vilas County’s restaurants have you covered with plenty of big flavors, including burgers to die for, awesome pizza, and your favorite beer on tap.

19th Hole Sports Bar & Grill

Just down the street from the St. Germain Golf Club, this restaurant has a par 3 golf course and a Wilderness Miniature Golf Course right on site. Head inside for some great food and beer—the classic 19th Hole Burger is hard to beat.

Aqualand Ale House

In Boulder Junction, Aqualand Ale House is the perfect place to relax after enjoying the nearby trails. The Ale House offers 20 craft beers on tap – pull up a stool or seat indoors or enjoy the patio on warm days. What to order? Aqualand’s wood-fired pizza is incredible. Try the Steak House–it’s topped with shaved prime rib, mushrooms, red onion, Gorgonzola cheese and garlic horseradish oil.

Buckshot’s Downtown

This lively downtown pub is in walking distance from many of Eagle River’s downtown attractions and it’s also accessible by snowmobile and ATV. The pub has a retro feel, with walls covered with classic records. As you soak up the atmosphere with a cold pint, try the gourmet mac & cheese—it’s amazing!

Buckshot’s Saloon & Eatery

This saloon on Highway 45 north of Eagle River is the place to be on game day. It has eight TVs and 24 cold beers on tap! Come in with an appetite and make sure to order “The Beast.” The patty is a half-pound blend of elk, wagyu beef, bison and boar, along with fire-roasted poblano peppers, fried onions, pepper-jack cheese and chili garlic aioli on toasted brioche.
