Solar Exploration with NASA Volunteer, Jim Head

$7Join the Northwoods Explorers of Space and Astronomy for the afternoon and view the Sun’s Chromosphere safely through a dedicated Lunt Solar Telescope. If the sun is active you might see a solar flare on the limb of the sum that’s larger than planet Earth! Discuss how stars are formed and compare our Sun to others along with our amazing Milky Way Galaxy. Handouts included and a door prize for the lucky ones.
