Outdoor dining in Vilas County

In late summer, as temps cool down, it’s the perfect time to enjoy a lunch, dinner, or drink outdoors at your favorite restaurant. Here are some of our favorite outdoor dining spots.

• Headwaters Restaurant & Tavern, Boulder Junction. Their large deck offers excellent views of the Manitowish River.
• Pub ‘n Prime, St. Germain. Grab a drink or enjoy a nice meal out on their patio, the “Tiki Bar,” which features live music.
• Parkside Tavern, Manitowish Waters. Each Sunday throughout the summer, enjoy Music in the Park and a nice lake view from their screened-in porch.
• The Thirsty Whale, Minocqua. Located on the shores of Lake Minocqua, the Thirsty Whale provides seating on a dock that surrounds the restaurant.
