This winter has been especially good for snowshoeing in Vilas County. The deep snow is absolutely ideal for tromping about in big, webbed feet. There might be a few feet of snow on the ground, but the snowshoer can happily travel on top of it all.
Snowshoeing is a great way to see wildlife – snowshoes are quiet. Plus, snowshoes allow you to get to places that would otherwise be impossible to reach without snowshoes. Keep your eyes peeled – you never know what you’ll see in the forest.
