Celebrate heritage
Lac du Flambeau will host the 35th annual Bear River Pow Wow from July 7-9 at the Old Indian Village. This annual event draws tribes from across the nation.
Picture perfect
Some of the most beautiful art in the Northwoods will be for sale in Land O’ Lakes on July 22. Summer Classics Art Impressions will feature more than 80 art and fine craft booths as well as food and beverages for sale.
Tasty tradition
Pig in the Pines: Bacon, BBQ and Bands. There’s a reason why St. Germain’s annual pork-themed festival is a big hit. Join the party August 4-5.
Watery wonders
Vilas County communities host fun water ski shows throughout the summer. Head to Conover to see the Chain Skimmers on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Dance in the streets
The streets of Sayner will be the center of action on August 6, as the community hosts the Sayner Street Fair. It’s a full day of fun with children’s activities, a craft fair, food, beer garden and live music in the pavilion.
Party in the capital
From August 11-13, Boulder Junction, the Musky Capital of the World™, will celebrate its famous fish with the Musky Jamboree. This longtime Boulder Junction tradition includes a street party, polka fest, car show and fun run.
Supersized festival
On August 16, Eagle River will hold Paul Bunyan Fest. This family-friendly event features chainsaw carving, live music and a craft fair. Bring an appetite: the star of the show is the huge Paul Bunyan-sized beef sandwich meal!
