Vilas County’s sledding hills entertain kids of all ages! Here’s where you can find the county’s four sledding hills.

Boulder Junction

A sledding hill is located at Boulder Junction Winter Park, a quarter mile from downtown Boulder Junction. The park also includes cross-country ski and snowshoe trails, a regulation-size ice skating rink equipped with lights, a warming hut with lighting and electricity and a bonfire area.

Conover

There’s a popular sledding hill at Conover Town Park. The park also has an ice-skating rink, picnic shelter, lighting and heated restrooms, and serves as the trailhead to several area trails.

Minocqua

A tubing hill is located at Minocqua Winter Park. Tubing sessions operate Saturdays and Sundays, weather permitting. A tubing pass must be purchased and includes a tube rental. The park also features an ice skating pond and 6,500 acres of forest with 54 miles of cross-country ski, snowshoe and fatbike trails.

Presque Isle

A sledding hill is located at Pipke Park. There is lighting at the park as well as a warming house, ice skating rink and restrooms.
